Downgrade BA001 to WT+
First post here on the BA forum. I'm a CX DM (OWE).
Traveling on an business class RTW award flight (using CX Asia Miles).
Got an email at 23:30 last night. BA001 cancelled. Called BA, they said they have protected me on BA113 today in CW. (I'm sure there are people who turned up at LCY this morning to discover BA001 cancelled. Luckily I checked my email at midnight!)
Turned up today to check in. A few phone calls by the check in agent. She told me due to overbooking, I've been placed in WT+. If they can, they will put me in CW but that will be at the gate.
What compensation am I entitled to? I would prefer cash to miles (this is an award booking using CX Asia Miles).
Read the compensation master thread but didn't get any firm answers.
