Well it turned out my charge limit is in the mid 5 figures, but they would process the transaction if I'd pre-paid full amount to amex to their account.

The amount was actually charged to a Centurion card from a friend of mine, even that triggered a call from Amex, since all charges after the initial transaction have been declined by Amex.
