I bought one, but it was just a test run. Small dollar amount and purchased alongside regular groceries. I expect I will create a more nervous cashier when I go in to buy $950 or more and no groceries.
I did both ways. Once she asked a few people and decided to let me, I did another transaction by itself. In between I also grabbed a Univision card. I didn't want to go crazy buying any more than that.
