PS: The only part I'm not too keen on is the 'high tp gold' and that is despite the fact that I am one (albeit hoping to make it to GGL next year as I'm having my first >3000 year). I just think that between Gold, GGL and CCR the 'top end' is segmented enough without sub-dividing Gold into 'low' and 'high', so either give it to GGL or to GGL and Gold but don't split in the middle.
I disagree there are a lot of Golds out there.

Let's be honest about what waitlisting will actually do. It will be like the GGL jokers in shifting the relative balance of a finite amount of redemption space to higher status passengers (which I think is right). If you do this for too many customers though it will pull so much space from the majority that what is left will look very thin indeed. Right now everyone gets a fair crack of the whip in checking for availability and exploiting it.

I think that very frequent flyers are disadvantaged in their ability to constantly check availability and this would be a useful added benefit.

I would offer it for GGLs and as a 4k or 4.5k TP bonus (like the old partner card at 4.5k).
