I think the beach at Trisara lets it down I last went there about 5 years ago and thought it was fairly unpleasant. Just like Bali.
You name it, two tropical sun seeker destinations with huge pollution problems and beaches where one would not like to swim. Kata Noi below Villa Royale is quite an exception and lovely.

This is a Thai phenomena. In their culture the "rich" are good as long as they "share" and 99% of prostitution is Thai with Thai. It is deeply rooted in their culture and no disturbance to whom doesn't care.
