Does the payment not have to clear i.e. pay your bill before it counts as spend? I can't remember exactly but I'm pretty sure my voucher came the same day that my final bill was paid to take me over £10K spent in 1 year.
I'm sure it counts as spend as soon as the total spend goes over £10k/£20k - but it normally takes a few days to appear on the statement so I suggest you do your purchase ASAP if you want any chance of it counting.
Last year was an unusually expensive spend and I hit the target in the first month (£10k as it's a BAPP I have).
