Or.... if you think you'll travel at some point, buy £1,200 of currency NOW with your BA Amex. The pound is pretty strong at the moment so the timing is good. If you do it via American Express or BA.com its treated as a PURCHASE, so no cash advance fee or other charges. AND you get and extra Avios for each £ purchased if you go through BA.com (though the rate is slightly lower - but worth it for the Avios...)
