I've never had any problems, just read the new T&C's and can't see where it says you have to be a season ticket holder, unless that's what they mean about member ID. Anyone can be a fan. IHG are never very clear anymore! May be too dangerous to send email. Although I just emailed them to clarify if you can use UK government rates for leisure, they replied no, but since then I have found in the FAQ's that you can, so kept a copy of this.

Also found this link, 30% off valid till 27th April. No conditions to belong to club, although they do mention member ID, so it seems they add that to all T&C's.
