I don't think Skymiles will change because of Seattle. I don't think one market can change a long-running strategy and company policies, written or not.

Like you said, AS is much smaller than the legacies, and I think DL's strategy will be to dump capacity and drop fares, probably for an extended period of time until people realize that AS is not worth the extra money. Add that to the Skymiles promotions and Seattle-driven social media action, and you're seeing DL trying to win over Seattle-based flyers with shedding light on the good things at DL, and not by improving the bad.

Time will tell if DL is successful, but my guess is if they keep at it, they will succeed eventually. The question is - how much money are you willing to lose, in order to win?
