So if the traveller isn't the one who made the booking, it means that s/he has to show their card at the airport. And it wouldn't show my status (showed AC*, and I think that non-status AC is AC*A).
That is true for the primary passenger. If there are other passengers on the same reward booking, a field will appear during OLCI to add an AE number, and any status will show on those BPs.
I recently caused an SD a degree of consternation because I produced my AE (SE) card to get the miles on BOB, and he could not figure out why I was not shown as SE on the manifest. He even had an agent meet me, and they also had no idea why it had happened. I explained it all to each of them.
