A concierge added a friend's number to a ticket I booked for him. I'm not sure why, since he has no status, but who knows...

If the traveller is the one that booked the AE ticket, then the AE number appears. That's because the AE number that booked the miles is automatically attached to the PNR. It can't be removed.

So if the traveller isn't the one who made the booking, it means that s/he has to show their card at the airport. And it wouldn't show my status (showed AC*, and I think that non-status AC is AC*A).
