Question regarding LH 447 for January 30th. Flight was cancelled and resulted in 2 day delay. Emailed LH and they said:

"Thank you for your online comments dated 30 January 2014 and for your patience whilst waiting for our response.

It was with great regret to learn of your grandmother’s flight cancellation on 29 January 2014. According to our records, the flight LH 447 from Denver to Frankfurt was cancelled due to poor weather conditions resulting in heavy turbulences to the aircraft on the previous leg of the flight rotation..."

Legit? Where can I look up cancellation reasons. Agent at the airport said technical reasons. Thanks!
