I've come to the conclusion that GPU's on United (the supposed thank you for your loyalty and business) are almost useless. I've tried several times as of late to use these, and am amazed that they never clear. In fact, I have had UA offer me a TOD upgrade purchase against my flight, even though I had a GPU waiting in the queue.

Why be loyal, and why push my business (or the business of the teams I work with) towards UA?
