If you call during regular business hours, it is possible to get a supervisor to send your information to head office, where someone will look into it and get back to you. I had this done in relation to my mailing address being in the US for last year's Star Challenge, and they wouldn't give me 20k miles. I had to deal with someone at head office (i.e. not through the call centre), and fax them my passport and drivers license, but they sorted it out. You just need to convince someone to pass your information along.

With Air Canada, I had one issue that I sent in through the regular online form that was forwarded to someone special, and they called me back and we had a nice chat about it. I'm not sure if an issue emailed to Aeroplan might have the same result.
