Nope, you're bag didn't gain weight. They don't fit. The first one I flew the GA warned that by zone 3 they'd be checking every bag that was left because the OH bins fill up way too fast. A standard wheeled bag has to go on its side or else will not fit on these new planes. Seems like a major design flaw to me on Boeing's behalf.
