Well, the choice of cities obviously depends on your interests, but the list you provide is by no means unusual, I would say. and 7 cities in a month is (compared to what some of your compatriots do - I am assuming you hail from the US) not outrageous.
Also the order makes sort of sense, no backtracking etc.
Give some though to the use of trains in Europe. You can get Eurail passes etc. From a train you see much more than from the air, the train gets you to the city centre, a night train saves on accommodation costs and so on.
London - Paris - Amsterdam - Berlin are are certainly good train options.
And arriving by train in Venice is MUCH easier than by air.
