Seeing as BA don't allow Boeing to install the NGCW seats on confidentiality grounds apparently, it is unlikely they would dispose of any until the patents run out. As to whether a new airframe should be fitted with pre-used seats, I defer to the accountants.
I do wonder however if this is the beginning of the end for NGCW with no new seats being manufactured in anticipation of a new design for the A350s and subsequent retro-fit when these latest 777-300s are due their D check.
They are still being manufactured for the 787 and A380, albeit in a slightly modified model. New colour and with the 2-3-2 sets.
