I contacted Cartera about the missing Walgreen's miles in mid-December and after a few replies and the sending of copies of the invoices, I received the purchase miles at the beginning of January.

Predictably, the 750 bonus miles did not show up, but today I got a message saying that I did qualify for the bonus, and that they had posted 2000 miles in December. Well, those 2000 miles were from the September $35 promotion, which I had contacted them about in December because they hadn't shown up. It even says on their site "Courtesy Credit: AA Sept Bonus--$35", but the agent failed to notice that, I guess. So today I had to send yet another email to them. They are truly clueless.
