I believe your departure is still a LONG way off. For better or worse, Air Canada has the bad habit of not telling people of schedule changes until relatively close to departure because they might change the sched again and don't want to bother you multiple times. that also likely explains why your ORD-YYZ departure had not been changed in the system.

IIRC AC "profit shares" with UA and LH on transatlantic routings but my guess is that AC only profits on routes that touch Canada. You will thus get much more sympathy for a schedule change that still goes through Canada than a one-stop that involves only LH and UA.

As I said in my earlier post, if this is a real issue for you, Reservations is where you need to go not Customer Relations. CR is just "feel good" excuses accompanied by a 5% discount coupon on a future AC flight (excluding taxes and fees which are most of the cost). Reservations has the power to make changes to your ticket.
