even if they offered a refund, what are the odds that OP can find another flight at the same price? ticket prices increase getting closer to departure date.

if I book on AC a month out and they change the flight 2 days before my departure, there's no damn way I'm gonna get the sane trip for the price I paid initially.

the refund is essentially worthless
