We are actively encouraged to use our corporate code for our personal stays (not just at IHG hotels - we have agreements with all major chains). Clearly if more nights are credited against the code that gives rise to the potential of a higher discount in future negotiations (so the corporate entity benefits), and IHG get the bonus of a leisure booking which - in many cases - might well have gone elsewhere.
