I saw a picture in December on Facebook of a business class meal, and it looked identical to what I had a few years ago. Not the food itself, but the presentation. The quality of the food looked worse!
The uniforms do enhance the experience as it makes the crew look smart. There are people who like the crew looking good, if this weren’t the case why would some airlines hire top designers to design their uniforms.
I guess the point I’m making is that when looking at other Middle Eastern airlines meal service in J too Europe, EL AL seems to really lag behind. On RJ for example the meal is served course by course, plated at your seat, has a choice of each course and is served on very nice looking tableware. On EL AL it’s only the main course you get to choose and it’s all served at once, with crummy presentation.
