Let say I make an avios booking <24 hrs before the time of the flight. I see information that says it can't be cancelled within 24 hours, but it can be cancelled within 24 hours of booking, it cannot be both clearly, which is trump?

BA.com has been glitchy with me, stating that my date is not valid as I can't fly on the 1st day of the 31st month of 2014 although I just clicked 1/31/14 on the calendar. After this it had my return dates backwards and before I realized it my return was set for 3/2 instead of 2/3. Of course I toggled to 3/3 as I wanted monday. I made the mistake of not booking separate one-ways. The BA staff directed me to the avios phone numbers, which neither are active and no human or robot has spoken to me.

Thanks for any advice. I am thinking I can just have them fix it at the airport as my outbound flight is fine. Even tried the uk customer service line only to be dropped after 20 min on hold. I am going from LIN-LHR return.
