I have to say, from time to time, you see shabby or outdated advice on FT - this is not one of those occasions - the advice on Dublin is spot on - and I would get to booking asap for St. Patrick's weekend.

Radisson Golden Lane is a lovely, stylish comfortable modern property. The Westin and Shelbourne are both period style - if looking at the Shelbourne, consider whetehr you wish to request either an 'old' eclectic room overlooking St. Stephen's Green, or a modern comfortable room in the new block to the rear.
