However, I haven't seen the approval message when I checked my status online today. I did see my old credit card was closed. Does anyone else experience that? It looks like there is some throughput issue on Citi's side, but I am planning to call in again if it is not updated in a few days..
They keep the cards on your profile for something like 3 months. The CSR cited regulations about this when I've asked in the past, but that could just a BS response. It's never been a problem, and could be useful if you need to find an old statement for that card in those three months.
