Sorry to keep begging for advice, but I am about to purchase saver award tickets LHR-SFO for a date four months after we really need to fly. My sole purpose is to get this summer's tickets at the old rates. I would really appreciate a couple of tips.

1. Which, in your experience, is more likely to open up at the last minute in August - BF or GF?

2. Would booking 2 seats in one cabin and 1 seat in the other cabin appreciably improve my odds of getting 3 premium cabin seats on the same flight?

3. Would splitting my booking make it easier to change it online if only 1 or 2 seats open up at a time?
