Not very surprising at all, gentlemen. Apr 11-13 is one of the "last hurrah" weekends of "The Season" down here which will tail off after that since Easter, the nominal end, comes so late this year.
For affordability, start with the last weekend of April when the hotel (and airfare) rates will have dropped like stones.
Surprising to me, but I guess it goes from when the leaves have fallen off the trees up here (mid-October) to when they mostly return (about mid-April). Other than Miami, I do all I can to avoid Florida as a general rule
