Make this easy on yourself. Send in a webform complaint, noting that someone else fraudulently booked a room in your name and that you were charged for both. Ask that the second charge be credited.

Wait a few business days and then file a dispute with the CC issuer. Either the property does have proof that the room was booked by you or with your authority or it does not.

Don't waste your time on the phone or stressing.
