We've enjoyed the suite set up, but our child is of an age that we wouldn't even attempt connecting rooms right now. We've spent some time at a Residence Inn in a one bedroom suite, which was really nice.

There are issues sometimes with the inside/outside room. We generally move his crib into the bedroom for naptime so that we have the living room free for ourselves.

This being Flyertalk, I also feel compelled to point out that there are a limited number of properties where you can book a suite with points. Typically they are the all-suite properties like Residence Inn. Many hotels that offer suites in addition to regular rooms don't offer the suites for purchase with points.
