I can just share that we've stayed at the Marriott once - got a week from someone very last minute on redweek (they couldn't use it a week or two before the trip, and I'm a 4 hour drive and had Busch Gardens/Water Country tickets, via Sesame Place "Super Grover Pass" which is a platinum pass so they rented it to me for a low rate).
Likes: nice and quiet, nice barbecue grill areas (I packed a cooler with meats marinating and brats), pool was nice, daughter and I played bingo one day and won twice, pleasant staff.
Dislikes: it's kind of in a residential area so not walking distance to anything. Second bedroom has one bed, so daughter slept with me (it was just me and my two kids, son is older so we gave him his own room). I'm not too fond of the whole "Colonial" decor, but it's fine really!
We loved Water Country - so either way that place is nice and fun. Love the lazy rivers and bringing a picnic (there's a covered pavilion right near the entrance so we take a break and bring a large picnic cooler - much better to have fresh fruit, sandwiches, salads, wine

than greasy burgers and fries, although I'm sure they're okay but when it's hot out we don't feel like heavy food).
I'd also compare on tripadvisor!
I think, overall, I'd definitely go back to the Marriott. I am biased, though, as we own at Marriott's Ko Olina, and we prefer the brand (and of course are loyal so we hoard the precious points).
