Why not fly BA for a bit so that you can get back to Gold and then switch over to EK until you have to earn TP again to retain BA Gold. This way, you will have the best of both, should you need to make use of BA for whatever reason. If, however, not having status with BA is no biggie for you, stick to EK I'd say.
