I made an oneup request from economy to premium from San Fran to AKL flying next week. I just received an email from Air NZ saying they are reviewing flight upgrade request and noticed that I had made a 'low' offer and are allowing me to make another offer to increase my chances.

Do all one up requests get this email? My offer was $500 and which says 'average' on the scale...so I don't think it is particularly low. But does this email mean I definitely won't get the seat? Or is it an auto email sent to all offers to encourage higher ones?

I am confused and would appreciate any and all feedback. Thank you!
