After seeing the low airfare between PHL and LAS we decided to book a mileage run in January to get a jump start on the year of qualifying. Our trip consisted of PHX – LAS on Friday night with an overnight in Vegas. Uneventful flight, short hop, no problems. We did note that seat 2C in FC was missing due to maintenance. When we arrived at LAS the next morning we found that not only were we on the same plane as the night before, but we also had the same crew for this flight from LAS –PHL. We thought it was a little strange to have the same crew and same plane for two of our four segments on this trip. As it turns out, we ended up on the same plane again for our return trip PHL – LAS, and once again the same crew. For our final leg LAS – PHX we were again on the same plane, but with a different crew. We were lucky that not one of our segments had us in row 2 with the missing seat so we were not bumped out of FC due to a maintenance issue. The topper was when we arrived back home in PHX that we parked at the same gate that we departed from the prior night. This entire trip seemed like a scene from Groundhog’s Day. A special shout out to Larry who was the best flight attendant you can have when you spend an entire day flying for the fun of it.
