Suggest you check the current MasterCard rental coverage. There appears to have been some recent changes (not favorable to the cardholder), at least for the MasterCards issued by Barclays, Chase, and Citi.

I haven't done an award rental since then. I'm mostly saving the points for...something, who knows. I can't get anything too exciting around here so I keep hoping I'll eventually plan a trip to somewhere where it will be worthwhile to get a week of Prestige or similar.
