If you're feeling brave, a further option is to walk along the fornt of the terminal building to the far end, then aound the corner and along the wall until you reach the predestrian gate in the far corner. At that point you are out on the street in Avenida Faucett and can hail a passing taxi or combi. Any taxi driver who picks you up from here like this is most unlikely to be out to mug you but you can't say the same about the general population who will be swirling around the street at that location. Definitely don't try this at night.
If one is considering the risk of crime, one needs to consider people outside the car as well as the driver. I was once a passenger in a taxi on its way from LIM to Miraflores at around midnight when, while stuck in traffic (perhaps arranged) another taxi immediately in front was attached by a chap who smashed his way through the side window using a lump of rock in his hand.
My in-laws prefer the redeyes to LIM arriving at 4-5am because they perceive the onward journey from the airport to be safer at that time.
