Yes, he was playing his nonsense off his iPad.
The lady next to me (in the middle) was fast asleep for the entire flight so I guess it never bothered her. The men on the other side were watching movies and it did not seem to bother them as it was a day flight.
I complained to a friendly female FA who told me that she was too scared to approach him as he had a bit to drink, was heavily built and had tattoos from head to toe (well it didn't produce a very friendly image!) I told her that I understood her position and that I would feel the same way if I were her.
2 hours later, the Purser (Emily something), walked past me to the J Galley. On her way back to the front, she asked me if everything was OK (since I am a UM I get that a lot) and I told her that he noise from the back was a nuisance as I was trying to sleep. She then went over to a male FA, who approached the guy and asked him to return to his seat and turn it off as other passengers were complaining.
The passenger didn't take it too well but obliged, only to be replaced by a very happy baby (so happy that she was screaming in the back!) That only lasted about 5 minutes and the family returned to their seats, so it wasn't too bad.
Did not see how the people in front of me reacted, but there were 2 very elderly Indian couples filling row 25 and 24 middle seats. All J seats were full on that flight and the 25 seat directly in front of me was an op-up and the woman seemed to be too excited to be in J that nothing could ruin it!
Anyway, I survived.
