I'm an Amanjunkie and really love what AZ has done and I've been lucky to stay in 10 Amans already. However, things are changing and I think Amanresorts is going less great than before. I've stayed recently at Jena and there wasn't the magic you expect from an Aman and the management at Amanoi seems distant and not as friendly as in the oldies Aman like Kila, Jiwo or Dari for example. If I trust the feedbacks, it seems service is just average, food not that good and it can be a bit boring to stay at Amanoi cause they didn't develop yet activities like breakfast in the hills, sunset cruises... I know it takes time to a resort to be ready but after 5 months opening I guess it should be already better and reading now this problem with water pump scares me.
From an Amanjunkie to another , just go to N'oi - your 11 th unless you visit another in Feb before N'oi ..
As I have since ' 89 but so many now , & yes , keep returning to fav ' oldies ' besides checking out the new ones .
The team will appreciate feedback from us .
Talk to Richard for activities , email them , hopefully the telescope will have arrived - things take time there , like customs & such . Amazing stargazing..
