Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently? Just completed a 4 night stay last month and having gotten tired of the limited breakfast selection in the platinum lounge we decided to have breakfast downstairs at the buffet where theres a good double or triple the selection. The rooms were nice and clean, and was fortunate to receive a high floor upgrade.

My only gripe about the service here is that supposedly, as platinum (with free breakfast), we were told that the "free breakfast" can only be in the lounge but was able to get around it.

I don't know how this is supposed to be handled but some properties let us choose between lounge breakfast or breakfast buffet, and a few others limit plats to the lounge. I never tested it until last month.

Are the hotels allowed to literally patronize platinum benefit by giving a watered down version of the breakfast in the "VIP Lounge" ?
