Since my user name and password were not being recognized when trying to log in on the internet sign up on my laptop, I tried to log in on the Hilton app (to make sure I was remembering my HHonors number and password correctly). When I could not log on via my Hilton app, which almost always works, I thought there was something wrong with my account (as opposed to being a hotel internet issue).
The message wasn't "internet down". Rather it was that the site didn't recognize my user name/ password.
