Checked in at 10:00 PM on Thursday evening. Went to my room to get online to deal with emails since I was in the air most of the day. Internet could not recognize my account number (and I could not log onto my account on my app). 25 minute hold for CS (I am a gold member, but this was around 10:30 PM). I was told the whole server was down for maintenance, but it would be up at midnight. I asked what this meant, and the operator told me that all Hilton internets in the US were down.
I called the front desk to see if they had any suggestions- they gave me a promo code, and I was instantly able to log in...
Why wouldn't you call the front desk first ?
