Upgrading with Qatar at the airport? Unlikely unless you pay full fare with cash.

Its only USA based airlines that give away their premuim product or treat first/business class as "upgrade class" There is a reason why so many USA legacy airlines have been bankrupt, are bankrupt or will be bankrupt
