I had reason to contact LH via their webform just now. I was on the UK site, and logged into my Miles & More account.

I was asked to select a title. As this was the UK site I expected to see the usual choice... Mr/Mrs/Ms, and maybe a few additional options such as Dr, Prof and Revd.

What I was presented with was this:

Dr. Mr.
Dr. Mrs.
Dr. Ms
Mr.
Mr. Prof.
Mr. Prof. Dr
Mrs.
Mrs. Prof.
Mrs. Prof. Dr.
Ms.

Have they ever heard of localisation at Lufthansa??? Has no one ever told them that we don't use these multiple titles in the English-speaking world?

I'm surprised they didn't include "Mr. Dr. Dr." (I knew one of those once...) And shouldn't it be "Herr Dr" rather than "Dr Herr"?

I'm not making fun of German titles, so please don't be offended... just expressing surprise at LH's unfamiliarity with the use of titles in the English language!
