Found a route out of Miami that works for me for my first, real TP run! Well, not strictly out of Miami; I need to reposition to SAL first. My itinerary for the week works out as -

LHR-MIA (F - 210) Tuesday morning
3 days of meetings
MIA-SAL (I) Friday lunchtime
SAL-MIA (I) Friday afternoon
MIA-LAX (F) Friday evening
LAX-HNL (F) Saturday morning
HNL-LIH (Y) Saturday afternoon
LIH-LAX (F) Saturday afternoon
LAX-MIA (F) Saturday evening
MIA-LHR (F) Sunday afternoon
Straight into the office on Monday morning

All in all, a pretty hideous weekend, but at least I have some decent BA F flights at either end to keep me sane and will be 1,340 TPs richer. I've no idea how many Avios I'll end up with, but I'm guessing somewhere around 40k+. This trip, coupled with flights to Vegas for my 40th at the end of Feb, will nicely tip me over the 5,000 mark, which means BA will be giving me a shiny CCR card for my birthday ^

Price for the flights from SAL-HNL-MIA worked out at £921 for 880 tier points, so £1.05p per point. The original booking is actually SAL-HNL-SAL, so it would have worked out at £1 per point, but I'll be dumping the last sector as I can't get back to Miami in time for my evening flight to LHR if I head back to SAL. On top of that I have the initial positioning flight to SAL to pay for, which will probably work out at around £250 in I, and a few hours in the LA Hilton on Saturday night at £80. Not the cheapest way to earn points, but still a pretty good way to get GGL and CCR.
