Interesting on the shampoo introduction in 1970. I had no idea this was a rather recent introduction. I would have thought that there would have been shampoo in hotel rooms back in the 1950s.

It also says that this was the first hotel to provide soap in rooms, which I think is wrong. According to my parents, some USA hotels provided small bars of soap even in the 1950s and this was common by the 1960s, although the soap wasn't typically of particularly high quality.
