I stayed here a 2 two weeks ago and read all the wonderful posts. I also was there a couple of years ago for television recordings. It would be my birthday so was very much looking forward to it.

All in all I have to say my experience was a little less then what everybody else said. I took a upgrade from a SPG Hotescapes rate to a Executive for 50 euros. I hoped for the a very nice room, also since I'm newly Gold member.

The room we got was definitely not a ++ room. It only had one small window on the back side of the hotel. I was hoping to be at the front or at least benefit from a room with high ceiling and windows. What I know that a lot of rooms have. I even asked for it during check it....

Then we had a drink in the lounge on a friday night (slow) and it took almost 20 minutes for somebody to serve us our second drinks. When I asked it was directly taken care of but I would have expected a bit more.

All in all I have to say that it's one of the best hotels that I stayed in for our own country and the decor is amazing! So let me say that this hotel is definitely worth it. But if I take into account I was looking forward to this stay for some years. So maybe I romanticized it, but after I paid 50 euros and being Gold I just would have expected to have gotten a better room. Seeing all the suite upgrades are
