... is that the lack of first enables you to clearly see who the emeralds are at an outstation because the 'first' section of the lounge is then exclusively emeralds.

I'm currently sat in YYZ and am waiting for the 10:15 departure. So far I've counted 5 (excluding myself) emeralds come and sit in the F side of the lounge.

Obviously that doesn't include anyone sitting in the club section or not in the lounges at all - but it's more than I expected on a late night Saturday flight.
