Flying lax-LHR on May 7. Seat assigned on booking is 1a. The DYKWIA in me wants to keep it that way. Should I? How does 1a compare with 1k which I see to be the recommended seat. The flight leaves so late (for me) it will be hard to stay awake much, so given my propensity for sleep and therefore privacy, any thoughts? Cabin currently empty so I can go where I like.

BTW, the last time I flew in F in this route it was last October in Old F. I was glad of 1a as the FA told me the movie/tv stars and spouses behind me were whooping it up for the most of the flight as I slept soundly....
