That's not what a 1K agent told me last night, rather just the opposite. However, since UA has not adequately clarified specific situations such as this for its loyal flyers, who knows? I do hope that repricing awards will not be the case, for awards finalized prior to 1 February and into cabins that you have already surrendered maximum miles for.

Not sure why you are focused on the tight connection at ICN, given that there are two later departures ICN-BKK every day (one OZ, one BKK). I would never book the 6:20 on the SFO connection, but instead the 8:20 or 9:25. The OZ lounge is a very comfortable place to spend a few hours after the long TPAC.

We're not flying until September. Flight times and premium cabin award availability change, and thus both these factors may not be the same as during the timeframe you are referencing. Plus, any flight later than the rather short connection ICN-BKK I was considering would get into BKK at midnight or later. When you are traveling with your spouse, sometimes you have some additional constraints placed, versus when you are traveling solo, and that late an arrival is a no-no for me. .
