After reviewing numerous trip reports, I'm now leaning towards booking us in ANA First ORD-NRT and Thai business (hopefully FC will open up) NRT-BKK. Just can't take a chance on a significantly delayed OZ flight SFO-ICN. Plus, have never flown international FC, and need to do so before the exorbitant new partner premium award rates take effect for UA on 1 February.
TG F will not open up more than two weeks prior to departure on that route, and if you change from J to F after 1/31, it will likely cause your entire ticket to reprice at the new rates.

Not sure why you are focused on the tight connection at ICN, given that there are two later departures ICN-BKK every day (one OZ, one BKK). I would never book the 6:20 on the SFO connection, but instead the 8:20 or 9:25. The OZ lounge is a very comfortable place to spend a few hours after the long TPAC.
