My biggest concern would be hand luggage. They specify 9kg for economy, I believe. Some airports' agents do make you weigh your bag at check in if they see you carry a large carry on unless you have FFP status. J should be fine.
The weight limit for hand luggage is actually only seven kilos.
During a recent flight out of Washington Dulles the agent at the check in counter insisted on weighing the backpack I was going to carry aboard the flight. I knew from reports here that QR was strict about this at IAD and packed accordingly.
Leaving Bangkok the agents didn't seem to care.
